Drishya - Art Appreciation Program

Most often we hear people saying that they can't understand anything about art activity. This feeling has gradually augmented over the years since our cultural inheritance and practices have distanced themselves from our day-to-day living. One of the primary reasons for this is that our education has ignored the significance of fundamental language (Visual language).

This course is planned in view of our present condition that reflects the distance created between cultural practices and the common man. Ananya - Drishya comprises a group of professional artistes, art critics and art lovers, whose effort is to find the means to adopt visual language in our education system. By this it plans to familiarize art activity and define its role in both the public and personal arena. It also emphasizes on making people more comfortable with visual art practices and encourages their ability to question than merely remain the detached silent spectator.
